The gift for the person who has everything really is having their portrait painted. It is a very special experience seeing your image captured on canvas, and something to treasure for generations to come.
It’s also a lovely idea to have a portrait painted of a relative, friend or someone special, or even a couple or group of people.
I can paint portraits in different mediums, oils, acrylic, watercolour, pastel or pencil.
For more details and to order, have a look at my commissions page.
I’ve found over the years that the most popular painting for people to hang on their wall is a portrait of their pet. People definitely adore their furry friends and a pet portrait is a super special way to capture their character in a unique and thoughtful gift.
I paint or draw pet portraits in watercolour, oil paint, pastel, acrylic or pencil.
It might just be me, but there’s something really satisfying about paintings of food. It certainly looks fabulous hung up in kitchens, or dining rooms, and reminds people of something they really love!
- Wedding (wedding cake)
Tea, biscuits, cake, fruit, vegetables or a roast dinner, what would be your favourite morsel to be immortalised?
I can paint in watercolour, oil, acrylic, paste or pencil. Get in touch if you need advice or to commission a painting,
Everybody has their favourite objects that really mean something to them. Sometimes, these can get old and tattered, so a painting is a lovely way to immortalise them.
Cuddly toys are the perfect subject for this, but there are lots of other things that could be painted. Clothing, jewellery, ornaments, just think of something that’s really special for the recipient.
The cuddly toy pictured was painted in acrylic, but could also be painted in oils, watercolour, pastel or drawn in pencil.
A painting 12″ x 10″ in acrylic would cost £150 but I can go bigger or smaller or use different media.
- Anniversaries (themed for particular year)
Get in touch if you’d like to commission a painting.
Everyone has a favourite view, and if you can’t see it from your window, or visit as often as you like, then a painting of it as a wonderful alternative.
Landscapes, seascapes or buildings all bring back memories and are a very special gift. I can use oil paint, acrylic, paste, watercolour or pencil to capture a scene.
- Leaving gift
Get in touch if you’d like a view painted, and I can advise you on size and what medium would be best.
